SERDANG, 26 April - The Putra Career Adaptability 2024 Program (Series 1) is conducted by the Career Counseling Section, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Counseling Division to help Universiti Putra Malaysia students in particular and all UPM citizens in general in preparing themselves to develop employability skills that employers like . The participants were shared knowledge related to techniques that really help in building employability skills such as reskilling, upskilling, the importance of 5K (Advantages, Disadvantages, Abilities, Weaknesses and Skills) by an experienced Speaker, Tuan Hasbullah Mustafa, Registered Counsellor.

This program will be conducted on 26 April 2024 starting at 8.30pm until 11.30pm virtually on the zoom application. A total of 142 participants in this program consisting of 120 graduate students, 15 post-graduate students, 1 foundation student, and 5 UPM staff. This program has a good impact on the understanding and self-confidence of the participants to achieve building employability skills that employers like. In addition, participants were also informed about preparation in building a network and image in social media as a career builder.

Ain Shuhada Husni, a student of the Faculty of Engineering, said 'The program is very good for students who will enter the field of employment'. A total of 95.8% agreed that their understanding increased about building their employability skills after attending this program. The feedback from the participants like this is a further boost to the Career Counseling Section's efforts to extend knowledge sharing related to careers in the future.
